Turning Twenty Mystery Quilt

In July I saw a Facebook post from http://turningtwenty.com that caught my interest.  They were offering a free block of the month for those who signed up in advance.  It’s non-traditional in that they are releasing a new block and/or instructions on the first and third Mondays of the month from July to December.

It’s a mystery as to how these blocks will be put together to assemble the finished 76″ x 96″ “Seeing Stars Quilt”. I find it intriguing, because you have to make 2 blocks each time that are exactly alike except for the size.  You make a 12″ block and a twin 6″ block.

I just finished constructing block 7 this morning.

Here are my 7 blocks to date.

Block 1 Block 2 Block 3 Block 4 Block 5 Block 6 Block 7

As you can see, my finished quilt will be very scrappy.  Hopefully it will look good once put together.
